Inaugural Mentone Car Show Features

The first annual Mentone Car Show, sponsored by American Legion Post 215 and Auxiliary Unit 215, was a well-tuned success. The October show at Moon Lake Village featured 18 classically beautiful cars; around 200 spectators; and great vendors, including creative vendors and The Rib Shack food truck. A group of Fort Payne Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps candidates (JROTC) assisted in spectator parking. The post made a 0 donation to the JROTC and fed them lunch … and boy can they put it away!

“Best in Show” was awarded to this classic 1961 Corvette
Car show winners were:
• Best in Show: Tom and Mary MacMichael
• Peoples’ Choice: Jon Mayhew
• Participants’ Choice: Danny Raughton

Dr Lynna Meadows’ 1974 Triumph TR6
If you want to see more, go to the Mentone American Legion or the Auxiliary Unit Facebook pages. Looking forward to next year’s show!
