Valley Head Art Night set for March 15
The Valley Head and surrounding communities are invited to come be uplifted and inspired while celebrating the creativity of local students.
The artwork of Valley Head students will be on display Saturday, March 15, at Valley Head Art Night. The event will be held in the Valley Head gym from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The featured art was created by students of Caroline Moore, MERF’s art teacher for Valley Head. “This is a celebration of the children’s artwork,” Moore says. “The artwork the students have been working on all year will be on display throughout the whole gym.”
Art enriches children’s lives far beyond the creative aspect. Engaging young students in creativity has been shown to improve math and science performance, enhance social skills and emotional regulation, and increase civic engagement and social tolerance.
Make plans to encourage and support area students with your attendance. “Everyone in the community is welcome to come and experience the joy of children’s creativity,” Moore says.
