Refreshed MERF House Filled with Energy and Love

Laughter, music, and joyful conversation are once again wafting from the windows of the MERF House. With renovations complete, the property has entered a new chapter that honors its nearly 30-year legacy while reimagining how it serves the community today. Since opening in 1995, the building has brought people together through laughter, learning, and connection.

The recent transformation continues that tradition in a fresh setting that emphasizes a light, open, and welcoming interior with a modern feel. A newly renovated kitchen enhances the building’s functionality, supporting gatherings and events with ease, while the spacious layout and ample seating allow for flexible use — whether for meetings, programs, or community celebrations.

Already this spring, the impact is clear. MERF Senior Lunches on Wednesdays are back home in the house, creating opportunities for neighbors to gather and share meaningful time together. Additional office space now supports the daily work behind MERF’s programs, and a dedicated Groundhog office provides a place to conduct interviews. Carefully planned and beautifully executed, the renewal reflects both history and the promise of the future. If you haven’t visited the house recently, come and take a look!
