All Are Invited to Author Event at Moon Lake Kitchen

Moon Lake Kitchen owners Robie and Amanda York will host a special author event June 5 at 4 p.m. to celebrate the publication of their daughter Carrie Grace’s debut memoir, “I’m Good, I Swear.” Community members will have the opportunity to meet Carrie Grace, speak with her about the inspiration behind the book, and learn more about her journey to becoming a published author.

“I’m Good, I Swear” explores Carrie Grace’s experiences in a strict religious environment and reflects on themes of perfectionism, faith, anxiety, and growth. Through personal stories and moments of humor, the memoir examines the pressures many people feel to appear “good” or “put together” while struggling internally.

The author has long enjoyed writing and says the book became both a creative and reflective project during her college years. She worked closely with editors and designers throughout the publishing process to bring the memoir to life.

Robie and I are so proud of Carrie Grace’s courage to write this book. Our hope is her memoir will encourage and support others who might be struggling with similar challenges. We are thankful for this opportunity to host this event and encourage our locals to support her as she introduces her first book!
