DAR Presents “The Interactive Constitution” to Moon Lake Library

Members of the Hannah White Arnett Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution presented a children’s book, “The Interactive Constitution,” to librarian Anne McLeod at the Moon Lake Library in December. The book presentation was on behalf of the Mentone Ukes, who had played at an event for the DAR and wanted to give back to the library where they practice every other Saturday.
The book, written by David and Stephanie Miles, was designated a Notable Social Studies Book by the National Council for Social Studies and the Children’s Book Council. Young readers will find a brief history of the American Revolution, as well as interactive features explaining the three branches of government; the roles of each branch; how legislators, the president, and Supreme Court justices are chosen; and how the Constitution can be amended. “The Interactive Constitution” is available for checkout at the Moon Lake Library.
