Valley Head Women’s Club Bake Sale Raises Funds for Scholarships
The place to be on Saturday morning, Nov. 23, is White Hall Church. Pick up some homemade baked goods to enjoy over the weekend or to serve with your Thanksgiving meal. Choose your favorite cakes, pies, cookies, flavored baked pecans, and more from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Valley Head Area Women’s Club raises funds through an annual pecan and bake sale to benefit two $500 scholarships given to Valley Head School graduating seniors who are pursuing higher education or technical training.
Fresh-crop pecans will be on sale for $12 per 1-pound bag (no tax added) from early November through December until they are sold out. They will be available at the bake sale as well as Tigers Inn Restaurant. Or call 256-635-8775 to place an order.
The church is on Highway 11 between Fort Payne and Hammondville.
