Jeff Black to Headline May’s Gulf Songwriter Series

The JSU Little River Canyon Center welcomes legendary folk singer-songwriter Jeff Black for the next installment in the May’s Gulf Songwriter Series.

Black will take the stage Sunday afternoon, September 22. Scheduled for 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the show promises to be an unforgettable musical experience. A GRAMMY-recognized artist with a career spanning over three decades, Black has seen his music grace indie-film soundtracks and recorded by some of the biggest names in the industry, including Alison Krauss & Union Station, Waylon Jennings, Dierks Bentley, and more.

Known for his soulful, passionate live performances, Black is a master storyteller whose songs capture the essence of the human experience. This is a rare opportunity to witness a true folk troubadour in an intimate setting.

Joining Black is local treasure James Loy Roberts. A singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Roberts has carved out a name for himself in the southeastern music scene. When he’s not crafting beautiful wooden pieces by trade, Roberts captivates audiences with his heartfelt performances. His dedication to his craft and his love for music shine through in every note, making him a perfect addition to the series.
