Like-Minded Ladies

Since 1930, like-minded ladies in the local area have been meeting regularly for the Valley Head Area Women’s Club. We currently have members from Valley Head, Mentone, Hammondville, and Fort Payne. We enjoy gathering for refreshments, socializing, and learning about our local community through monthly programs. Recent past programs have included learning to make wreaths, the history of Alabama state capitol locations, and a talk from a local physical therapist.
The club also awards scholarships to graduating Valley Head High School seniors annually. The 2024 scholarship recipients were Arabella Stokes and Kolby Dupree. Both students had impressive achievements. We know they will succeed in their educational journeys.
The Valley Head Area Women’s Club members would like to welcome other like-minded ladies to join us. The first meeting of the 2024-2025 club year is on September 18. Contact club president Anna Mae Horn at 256-635-8775 for more information.
