Mentone Fall Festival Set for Saturday, Oct. 18

Sponsorships open for Town’s biggest annual event

Shoppers and artists from across the region will come together Saturday, Oct. 18, for the region’s largest fall celebration.

The third annual Mentone Fall Festival is set to once again bring thousands of people to the Moon Lake Campus to enjoy original art, pottery, crafts, food, and live music.

The event is more than a community celebration. Money raised from sponsorships is reinvested into the Moon Lake Campus property, home to shops, galleries, a restaurant, and classes hosted by Northeast Alabama Community College.

The Mentone Fall Festival also has an economic impact beyond the campus. It attracts visitors who patronize the other shops and restaurants throughout town and who enjoy stays at the bed-and-breakfasts, inns, and cabins around Mentone.

“Our Fall Festival is an important cultural and tourism event for our town,” says Mayor Rob Hammond. “But more than that, it’s part of a larger plan to preserve the property and ensure its future as a central part of our community.”

Festival coordinator and artist Deedee Morrison says the goal of this year’s event is to generate $40,000 for the Town to reinvest in Moon Lake Campus. “So many businesses and individuals across the region understand what this historical site means to the greater Mentone area, and they see the vision for what the campus can become,” Morrison says. “Together, we are creating something that will impact the cultural and economic future of our region for generations.”

To sponsor the event, mail a check to: Mentone Fall Festival, P.O. Box 295, Mentone, Alabama, 35984. Make the check payable to “Town of Mentone” and note “Mentone Fall Festival Sponsorship” on the memo line. You can also send funds via Venmo to “@Townof-Mentone” and note “Mentone Fall Festival Sponsorship.”
