The Healing Power of the Pen

A Journaling Workshop at Moon Lake Library

On May 26, I am offering a guided journaling workshop at the local library, centered around the healing power of the pen. This space was created with intention and care, inspired by my own healing journey that included writing for clarity and release.

The workshop is open to anyone who feels the pull to write, whether you are:

  • navigating loss or life transitions;
  • seeking clarity or emotional release;
  • wanting to reconnect with yourself;
  • or, simply curious about where writing might lead.

You don’t need to be a writer. You don’t need to have the “right” words. You only need a willingness to begin. Through gentle prompts and guided reflection, you’ll be invited to explore your thoughts in a safe, supportive space. There is no pressure to share — only an opportunity to listen inward and let the pen lead.

Participants are asked to bring a picture of themselves as a child 5 years old or younger, along with pen and paper.

Date/Time: May 26, 2 p.m. Central time

Location: Moon Lake Library

Cost: Free

Because of a limited number of seats, we ask that you preregister by emailing books@moonlakelibrary.org, with the subject line “Journal Workshop.” Sometimes, healing doesn’t arrive all at once. Sometimes, it begins with a single word and the courage to write it down. I hope you’ll join us.
