Your Place in Mentone’s Creative Story

Mentone has always been a place that draws creative souls. But a thriving arts community doesn’t happen by accident. It is built by people who choose to support it. For nearly two decades, the Little River Arts Council has worked to nurture Mentone’s creative spirit. We support local artists, host vibrant events, and create opportunities for people of all ages to experience the arts. And at the very heart of that work is our membership.

When you join the Little River Arts Council, you are doing much more than paying annual dues. You are making a statement that creativity matters in our town. You are affirming our guiding belief that art is for everyone.

Membership dues provide the critical foundation that keeps LRAC running. They cover essential operating expenses and provide the matching funds required to secure larger grants. From the Summer Music Series and the Creative Spirit Market to gallery exhibitions and arts education, it is membership support that brings these experiences to life.

We are currently in a season of incredible momentum. Alongside our regular events, energy is building around the Moon Lake Arts Collective, a new public art studio and community gathering space being developed by LRAC. When complete, this space will be a true community resource: home to art classes, yoga, workshops, and meetings for neighbors, organizations, and visitors alike. We are proud that it will also serve as a creative home for programs offered by the Mentone Arts & Cultural Center, whose gallery and music events have added so much to this town since 2020. In Mentone, the arts community grows stronger when we grow together.

Projects of this scale are made possible through a combination of grants, donations, and the steady, reliable support of LRAC members. In fact, membership numbers are one of our most powerful tools. A strong, growing membership base signals to outside grant organizations that the arts are deeply valued here. Your membership literally opens doors to additional funding that allows us to invest in new ideas.

You do not have to be an artist to join. Our members include collectors, volunteers, business owners, and neighbors who simply love living in a creative community. Many of our members live outside Mentone but maintain deep connections here as property owners or frequent visitors.

• Sustainer: $500
• Benefactor: $1,000+
