Successful Fall Festival Attracts Thousands and Marks a Season of Fun and Giving

An estimated 3,000 visitors made their way through the gates of this year’s fall festival, according to organizers. And they all seemed to leave full — of food, creative goods purchased from talented vendors, tunes from the amphitheater stage, and excitement about the charm our town has to offer.

So many gave their generous support to the festival, the proceeds of which support improvements to the Moon Lake campus. This year’s sponsorships totaled $35,975. Parking fees contributed $3,857, while festival T-shirt sales totaled $1,477. The festival received 138 donations for supplies for kids activities, which, from the looks of those little faces, was put to excellent use. The soon-to-open Moon Lake Kitchen was kind enough to provide refreshments for the hospitality area.

The library book sale had folks swarming to browse hardbacks and paperbacks while being treated to the tunes of the Mentone Ukes. Area nonprofit groups were on-hand to greet people and provide information. The weather did its part to make the day perfect for wandering, chatting, and discovering the diversity of talent under the tents.

Not only did the festival itself bring people to Mentone, but many businesses in town held special events or opened special hours to round out the weekend of fun and make it memorable for all.

Congratulations to all involved on a well-run event that is surely already on the calendars of many for 2025.
